The word UIUX is always spoken together, but it’s more of two different terms combined into one UI- user interface and UX — User experience. Both have their significance and dependence on each other. You can’t have a good UI with bad UX and vice versa.

Let’s break down to both of them and understand what both terms means and their importance and reliance on each other.

What is UI?

The word UI as it looks stands for user interface, and in a more straightforward language is the buttons you see and click or the text, the images, the form entry fields and all the rest of the items the user interacts with to get some results or to go from point A to B. Overall the look and feel the application by the user is known as user interface and is made by UI designer. It’s the UI Designer who decides what the application is going to look and feel like. They choose the color of the buttons, the text size and other necessary things for the application.

What is UX?

Again, Similarly UX stands for User Experience. In a simpler language, UX can be defined as how easy or convenient it is for users to interact with the user design and fulfil their desired task. As its name says, the UX is carried by UX designers, and they also make sure that the application is not only designed beautifully but also be user-friendly.

The UX designers are mainly concerned with an application’s user interface, and UI designers decide what the application will look like.

How UI and UX work together?

You cannot have a good UI but a bad UX for your product, and similarly, you can’t have a good UX with a bad UI. They need to walk hand in hand to have an overall pleasant user experience.
